About Tap ’n’ Tin

Tap ’n’ Tin is an independent music magazine for people who go out to see bands and for people who play in them. It publishes in four sections: Live & Gigs, Medway & Kent Scene, Records & Genres and For Musicians.

Stories are checked against primary and reliable sources: GOV.UK and legislation.gov.uk, the NHS and RNID, PRS for Music, PPL and the Musicians’ Union, Attitude is Everything, Medway Council, the British Library, Britannica and the BBC. Sources are listed under each story. Prices, fees and royalty rates change, so the magazine explains how things work and sends readers to the official source for current figures.

Between 2003 and 2006 this domain carried the website of the Tap ’n’ Tin, a music pub on Railway Street in Chatham, best remembered for the night in October 2003 when the Libertines reunited there. Its listings, press cuttings and photo pages are kept in the Tin Archive. The magazine is not that venue and has no connection with its former owners, staff, promoters or record label; the name is kept because it belongs to the address.
