Record Makers: A Chatham Pub Starts a Label
The Kent Messenger on the year the Tap ’n’ Tin became known well beyond Medway, and on its plans for a record label.

From the Tin archive. Between 2003 and 2006 this domain carried the website of the Tap ’n’ Tin, a three-floor music pub on Railway Street in Chatham. This page keeps one of its items as a historical record. The magazine that publishes the site today is independent and has no connection with the venue, its owners or promoters; contact details have been removed, and pictures lost from the old site have been replaced with credited photographs.

A Kent Messenger article of 6 February 2004, kept as a scan on the venue website. Its opening line: there are few people who can disagree the last year was pretty spectacular for one Chatham pub. The piece covered the pub’s year after the Libertines gig and its plans for a record label, which released its first 7-inch later that year.
