The Venue: Five Bars on Three Floors in Chatham
How the Tap ’n’ Tin on Railway Street described itself: bands in the pool room, DJs upstairs, a beer garden, and plans for a salon and a tattoo studio.

From the Tin archive. Between 2003 and 2006 this domain carried the website of the Tap ’n’ Tin, a three-floor music pub on Railway Street in Chatham. This page keeps one of its items as a historical record. The magazine that publishes the site today is independent and has no connection with the venue, its owners or promoters; contact details have been removed, and pictures lost from the old site have been replaced with credited photographs.

The pub stood on Railway Street in Chatham, a short walk from the station. It described itself as five bars on three floors, with a beer garden and a pool room, and on Fridays every floor had music: the jukebox in the main bar, bands in the pool room and DJs on the middle and top floors.
The same listing mentioned a launderette, a hair salon looking for staff, a wine bar about to open next door and Future Primitive, a tattoo studio soon to open. The street address and map link on the original page have been removed; the pub is no longer trading under this name, and this site has no connection with the building or its present occupants.
